Hardcore and heart-breaking. This is amazingly controlled filmmaking and my favourite image is the one of the moving feet–you’ll know it when you see it. Wow!
Maha Kumbh Mela
This timelapse was made at the Maha Kumbh Mela in India in 2013. It is described as the largest peaceful gathering of people on Planet Earth. And the film does a great job of showing just how many people seem to be at the place at a single time.

Tzigane is a video profile of a circus family in Paris. It won second prize in the Travel Photographer of the Year awards, in the same category. Any filmmaker that finds a new angle on one of the most photographed cities in the world deserves a prize.
I love clever sci-fi that relies on a simple idea and some resourceful filmmaking. The Device has all of that going for it, and it communicates this rather difficult to achieve idea with great efficiency.
