Move. Eat. Learn.

I love/hate it when I encounter creative work like the three films featured below. Love because it is genuinely inspiring for me to consume such well executed, well thought out ideas. Hate because, well, I didn’t think of them.

And this troika of films is just exactly the kind of conceptual awesomeness that makes me want to lock myself in a room with little more than my brain and self-denial, until I emerge with an idea.

So the films – the reason why you’re here.

In the filmmakers’ own words on their Vimeo page, “3 guys, 44 days, 11 countries, 18 flights, 38 thousand miles, an exploding volcano, 2 cameras and almost a terabyte of footage… all to turn 3 ambitious linear concepts based on movement, learning and food into 3 beautiful and hopefully compelling short films = a trip of a lifetime.”

These are wonderfully fresh takes on the travel video. I don’t know if there is material for longer films in that terabyte of footage but it is so awesome to see what these guys were able to do in around one minute, especially in the Learn video.

The films were produced by Rick Mereki (who also directed and edited) and Tim White (DOP, editing and sound) with Andrew Lees in front of the camera.

So check the films out below and leave a comment about the one you liked best.

My favourite one is Move.

  1. I agree with Ryan but Move was really well made and I’d have to watch it again to ID all the places he went :D very cool!

  2. Incredible. I can’t choose.

The imagery in the EAT is just gorgeous, the LEARN is so very inspiring and the MOVE so brilliantly executed. I want to be friends with them.
