Fashion Week is always chaotic and this time was no different. And the Photographers’ Pit is a particularly unhappy place with the pushing, shoving, catcalling, and misogynistic language (I guess there is a reason celebrities are kept shielded for most of their working lives).
No situation is totally bleak of course and Sana, Shahana and Surbhi who handled backstage access were really patient and accommodating. So another Fashion Week has been consigned to the history books and while shooting video for Vogue India from the pit proved to be a full-body contact sport, I managed to get a few photographs that tell only part of the story.
Experiences like this clarify why we try and focus on the beauty in the world.
And here is the video we produced about the Sabyasachi Mukherjee finale.
