Blender’s Pride Fashion Tour is a multi-city event featuring shows by some of the country’s leading fashion designers. We attended a preview in Mumbai where the line-up for 2016 was revealed.
Model/actor Arjun Rampal moderated a panel which was to be a discussion and reflection on style. What it became was a surprisingly funny–these things are usually deathly dull–and engaging talk where the designers revealed their key interests (it’s all about construction and engineering of clothes for Rajesh Pratap Singh), shared spontaneous style choices (Nikhil Mehra sported a seriously trendy looking grip on his hand that he made backstage when he found textured duct tape), and revealed an easy camaraderie that makes the design community more fun to be around than most other industries we’ve been privy to over the years.
Here are some photos and video from the event.
