American photographer Steve McCurry, the man behind the iconic Afghan Girl photograph was in Mumbai for the launch of his new book India and the good people at Roli Books enabled us to interview him ahead of his talk and book signing later that evening.
We asked him One Question in an effort to understand the role of the modern photographer. When Mr. McCurry began taking photographs there were fewer cameras in fewer places around the world.
