Alex Boye feat. Brigham Larson – Ho Hey (Lumineers Cover)
I’ve always felt that the original version of this song by The Lumineers is all chorus – a big burst of warm and fuzzy – and the verses just didn’t sit quite right. This cover version – Lion King style as they call it – fixes that problem. It all fits now, so enjoy! If you like it, you can download it here.

Kacey Musgraves – Mama’s Broken Heart
This song became a massive hit for country singer Miranda Lambert and here is the original demo by Kacey Musgraves, the singer/songwriter who wrote the song. Ms. Musgraves does the whole ‘I will survive, I am a strong independent woman’ with a light touch and that is much appreciated.

John Mayer – Wildfire
Questionable duets aside, Mayer’s latest release Paradise Valley features good musicianship and great summer tunes like this one.

Fastball – The Way
I know, I know, this is so Nineties. But it’s been stuck in my head for a while now. So here is a new version – live and acoustic and just as awesome.

Emily Karpel – HaKaftor
Very strong indie pop from Israel. Great voice and production on songs that are very easy to get into.
