The Weekly Playlist - Grace

Grace feat. G-Eazy – You Don’t Own Me
If you’re wondering what the song in the new Suicide Squad trailer is, here’s your answer – it’s You Don’t Own Me by Australian singer Grace and is a cover of an original by Lesley Gore from 1963. A piece of trivia about Grace – she is the sister of singer Conrad Sewell who you know as the voice from producer Kygo’s massive hit Firestone. Also, this version of You Don’t Own Me was produced by Quincy Jones who also produced the original. Grace was also exactly the same age as Lesley Gore was when she recorded the song – 18 years old.

Kid Cudi – All In – Produced by Mike Will Made It
Love this new surprise release from Kid Cudi. In rock terms it would be the moody power ballad of the album. In hip-hop, I don’t know, but I really like the way it sounds and I’m looking forward to more new music from Cudi soon.

Mura Masa – What If I Go
Love this one by 20-year-old British producer Alex Crossan aka Mura Masa. The beat is tight and the vocal so summery – a great combination.

Tchami feat. AC Slater & Kaleem Taylor – Missing You
This playlist doesn’t feature too much future house because it’s not something we listen to a lot around here. French producer Tchami makes us want to dig deeper though so here you go, a pretty banging track from him for you this week.

DJ Shadow – The Mountain Will Fall
New DJ Shadow coming soon!
