The Weekly Playlist - Fe

It’s been a stupidly exhausting weekend. For this new week we have a mix of old and new songs that we hope will make things better.

Fe – Daffodils Of Paris
British artist Fe leads our playlist with a song filled with thoughts that I find very familiar. When a woman sings quiet and contemplative people rush to make Lana Del Rey comparisons but I think that sells Fe short. With almost every word that Del Rey sings there is big drama. Fe, on the other hand, plays it matter of fact and low-key. I really like this song. Plus, extra points for the cool hats!

Doug Paisley feat. Bonnie “Prince” Billy – Until I Find You
This gorgeous song has met its perfect match in its video. It was oddly hypnotic watching the water colour portraits come to life as the song unfolds.

Fours – Damage
New artists who make pretty tunes always get me happy. English band Fours is the latest on the list.

The Lone Bellow – Cold As It Is
Driving alt-country from Brooklyn, New York. I just want to walk to the groove of this song all day.

Temple Of The Dog – Hunger Strike
Just get lost in the guitar, the voice, and that big warm sound.
