The Weekly Playlist - AfterloopArtwork by Elvis D.

Coldplay – Magic
Coldplay hits the ground running with a deep atmospheric bass groove and spare drums. Very skillfull. I’m looking forward to the new album.

Band of Horses – No One’s Gonna Love You (Acoustic)
Even stripped down to just guitar and voice, this sounds so beautiful. Listen to the original here.

Alexander – Truth
I heard this one in the trailer for a short film. A little digging revealed that the artist is Alexander Ebert, an American singer-songwriter and composer who won a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score in January this year, for his work on the film All Is Lost. His eloquent thank you speech at the awards included this message for the director, “Thank you for letting me try all over your film.” The sentiment of a composer captured perfectly.

Afterloop – Always The Middle
E and I began work on an electro-acoustic music project last year. He played guitar riffs and I built electronica around them. Here is the fourth song from our debut EP Share which you can listen to and download for free here. Each of the pieces was also accompanied by its own artwork, created by E. See all the artwork here.

Bic Runga – Sway
This beautiful song makes me want to have a 90s movies marathon.
