The Weekly Playlist - Charlie Puth

Floating Points – Silhouettes (I, II & III)
From neuroscientist/musician Sam Shepherd aka Floating Points’s new album Elaenia comes this 10 minute 42 second piece that is so many good things all at once. It’s electronica, jazz, a soundscape, score, or, as its Soundcloud genre tag states simply – ‘Music’. Best not to over-think it. Listen (on headphones) and enjoy.

Charlie Puth – Losing My Mind
There is some very solid production on all the songs off singer/songwriter Charlie Puth’s debut album Nine Track Mind. He’s hot property in the pop music world and it’s easy to see why.

Petit Prince – DemiTour
French artist Petit Prince’s Facebook page lists their genre as ‘PsychoElectronique’. I haven’t heard that one before but I really like this song and the way the vocals work in it.

Craig Wayne Boyd – I Walk The Line (Johnnie Cash cover)
I realise that this is a complete reworking of the Johnnie Cash original but hey, it sounds like a good song on it’s own and that’s all that should matter.

Dave Matthews Band – Two Step (Live from the Xfinity Center)
Every playlist could use a little Dave Matthews Band energy.
