The Weekly Playlist - Jake Isaac

Jake Isaac – Waiting Here
When you’re waiting for an hour for a show to begin the music better be good. This weekend at fashion week in Mumbai I discovered this beautiful song by British singer/songwriter Jake Isaac. Isaac has the kind of voice that grabs all your attention – whatever the auditory equivalent is of “I couldn’t look away from it” is. I’ve just discovered this song and I already love it.

One Direction – Torn (Natalie Imbruglia cover)
Wow, the ’90s really do seem to be coming back around. Do I like the original more? Yes, but being hung up on that would just be me being a crabby old person.

Rihanna – Kiss It Better (Official Instrumental)
What I’m really interested in with this song is the guitar parts by Nuno Bettencourt. Seems there’s an instrumental version floating around on YouTube.

The Avener & Phoebe Killdeer – Fade Out Lines
Finally put a name to this song which I’ve been hearing snippets of in several places. French producer The Avener does a great job on this bluesy dance track. Yeah, that can be a genre and it can be good.

Walk Off The Earth – What Do You Mean? (Justin Bieber cover)

Canadian band Walk Off The Earth live loop an actual clock in their version of this song. Enough for me to put it in our playlist.
